  • Dedicated to Bart, who had the Most Beautiful Tail

It's very simple. Dogs and cats and other talented animals have tails; their tails, with their thousands of flourishes, provide them with a wonderfully complex language of arabesques, not only for what they think and feel and suffer, but for every mood and vibration in their feeling tone. We have no tails, and since the more lively among us need some form of expression, we make ourselves paintbrushes and pianos and violins..." _Hermann Hesse

Still Waiting on Tulare Corgis

Due to weather conditions and the busy schedules of the shelter personnel involved, we are STILL waiting to transport the remaining corgis from central California up to northern California. To date we’ve had a number of people submit applications and there is no lack of interest in adoption. Thanks to all who have submitted applications. We are holding them all for review at the appropriate time. We are hoping that we’ll get a break in the cold/wet weather soon.

There’s nothing more to report for the moment, but we’ll  post updates when there is more to tell. Please keep checking back.

  1. Hi Kathy,
I corresponding with Arleen Rooney over the weekend and we discussed the Tulare Corgis.
She placed the male Garrett that she took in a good home recently.
Has there been any progress with the rescue of the remaining eight?
