• It’s not just about the dog itself, but the relationship you have with it!

  • Dedicated to Bart, who had the Most Beautiful Tail

It's very simple. Dogs and cats and other talented animals have tails; their tails, with their thousands of flourishes, provide them with a wonderfully complex language of arabesques, not only for what they think and feel and suffer, but for every mood and vibration in their feeling tone. We have no tails, and since the more lively among us need some form of expression, we make ourselves paintbrushes and pianos and violins..." _Hermann Hesse

ForPaws Calendar Girl

One of our greatest Success Stories through ForPaws Corgi Rescue was the adoption of Ghillie, an exceedingly shy little Pembroke, who ultimately found her perfect person and became the dog she was meant to be as a result.

Ghillie came out of a puppy mill and had two false starts before finding ForPaws and her current owner, Kathy D.  Kathy took the time and patience to socialize Ghillie gradually, allowing her to develop the confidence she needed to become comfortable dealing with the world.

Ultimately Ghillie did so well that she not only inspired Kathy D. to start a corgi rescue venture of her own, Faerieland Corgi Rescue, but she became a registered therapy dog with Therapy Dogs International (TDI).

Now Ghillie is included in a 16-month 2011-2012 calendar, featuring rescue dogs that have gone on to become therapy dogs. Anyone interested can purchase a calendar now for July 2011 delivery. They also make great Xmas gifts for 2012!
